After School Religious Education Classes:

After School Religious Education Classes (for children who do not attend a Catholic School)  are held on Fridays during school term from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. The program includes preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation.

Rite of  Christian Initiation of Adults Program (RCIA):

The Parish runs the RCIA program and welcomes enquiries about joining the faith-family which is the Catholic Church. If you are curious or interested why not come along to a Mass or give Father a call. The Catholic Enquiry Centre has produced an interesting little pamphlet entitled "The Catholic Story". RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Those taking part in the program meet with Parish RCIA team.

Participants have included:

♦       People who have not been baptised
♦       Members of other Christian churches or communions
♦       Adult Catholics who would like to receive Confirmation and make their First Communion
♦       Catholics who would like to learn more about their faith

Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm at the Parish Centre.

Bible Study Group:

Meets every Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 midday. (Will resume soon.)

Children's Liturgy:

Children's liturgy is held during the 9am Mass during the school terms. We welcome all children aged 4-8 years old to attend. If your child is younger please ensure you accompany them.

Format: The children are welcomed by Fr Stan to the altar and then taken to the Parish Centre by 2 catechist leaders. The children learn about the gospel reading of the day together with prayer and reflection/discussion time at an age appropriate level. The children are given an activity to reflect what they have learnt and return to show their work just before the offertory. Parents are always welcome to stay with your child if they are hesitant in attending.
